How to Contact Google Play Support (Official Channels Only)
The official ways to reach Google Play customer service for gift card, refund, and account problems — and how to spot fake support numbers.

When a gift card will not redeem or a purchase goes wrong, you need Google's real support — not the fake 'customer service' numbers that fill search results and scam callers. This guide lists only the official channels and explains what to prepare before you contact them.
The official support channels
Start at the Google Play Help Center: support.google.com/googleplay. Most problems — refunds, redemption errors, unrecognized charges — have a guided flow there that resolves them without waiting for an agent.
For issues that need a person, the Help Center offers a contact option after you describe the problem. Depending on your region and issue, Google offers a callback, live chat, or email. Google does not publish a general public phone number for Play support; callbacks are initiated by Google through the Help Center.
What to prepare before contacting support
For a gift card problem, have these ready: a photo of the front and back of the card, the purchase receipt, the exact error message, and the Google account email you redeemed (or tried to redeem) the code on. With these four items, most gift card cases are resolved in a single contact.
For refund requests, note the order number from your email receipt or from play.google.com → your profile → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & history.
Beware of fake support numbers
Searching for a 'Google Play phone number' often surfaces ads and websites run by scammers posing as Google. Real Google support will never ask for your password, your gift card code, or payment to 'unlock' a refund.
If anyone asks you to read out a gift card code over the phone or by email, hang up — that is the single most common gift card scam. Only ever enter a code in the official Play Store app or at play.google.com/redeem.
If you already gave a code to a scammer
Report it to Google through the Help Center gift card flow immediately — speed matters, because an unredeemed balance can sometimes be frozen. Then report the scam to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov. If the card was bought with a credit card, also tell your card issuer.
